  17. Details....:    Do you have the cool new doom clone called "Fears" for
  18. ------------    your Amiga? Are you annoyed about all that disk
  19.         accessing? Well folks, here is the sollution....
  20.         
  21.         Supplied in this archive are the following:
  22.         1) FearsHDInstall.txt    - this file
  23.         2) FearsHDInstall.txt.info - icon
  24.         3) Fears        - script to load fears from WB
  25.         4) Fears.info        - icon for above
  26.         5) FearsLoader.exe    - Program to load fears from CLI
  27.         6) TrackDos V1.03    - use to make a disk image.
  28.         7) TrackDos.info    - icon

  30. What to Do.. :

  33. 1) First, create a drawer for Fears (e.g work:games/fears) and copy all
  34. the above files into the drawer.
  35. 2) Load the util TrackDos V1.03. You need this to make a disk image (ie
  36. to dump a non-dos disk to a file). I'm afraid I don't have docs for it,
  37. but heres what to do...
  38.     
  39.     o Click on "Trackdisk to DOS"
  40.     o Fill in the blank spaces as follows...
  41.        Disk Read Offset         :   -1
  42.        Disk Read Length        :   -1
  43.        Save path/file        :    ram:FearsDisk
  44.        Read from Device        :   df0:
  45.     o Insert your Fears disk.
  46.     o Click on OK
  47.     o A disk image will be made.
  48.     o Once disk access has stopped, copy the file "FearsDisk" which
  49.         you will now find in your ram disk, to the "Fears" drawer on
  50.         your harddisk.

  52. 3) Once the disk image has been made, double click on the Fears icon and
  53. the game will run...

  56. NOTES::
  57. -------
  58. This installer copies the game disk to fast ram and then loads data from
  59. ram, hence the need for 2 or 4 meg of fast. I DID try to make a version
  60. for 2mb amigas, but iit kept bombing. If you want the source so you can
  61. try for yourself, get in touch. I have not tested this installer with only
  62. 2mb of fast ram, but I guess it will work  :)

  64. If you have a later version of TrackDos, or the docs file, add them to this
  65. archive.

  67. This installer patch  has been written for the Hoodlum version of the game.
  68. At the time of release the original (uncracked) version is not available.
  69. When it becomes available I will buy it and update this installer
  70. accordingly. Remember you MUST buy the original of this cool game - keep
  71. the Amiga alive....!
